Opening Ceremony for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation

The 2014 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit was held in Beijing. The gala event was hosted by the National Aquatic Center, aka "The Water Cube." Jennifer Wen Ma was commissioned by the APEC organizing committee as the Creative Chief of Lighting Design for the outdoor environment of this evening.

 

Some of the highlights include a red carpet of light that rolled out for the dignitaries as they arrived at the gala site, and rainbow light beams that brightened the Beijing night sky at the end of the evening.
